“ I will say that the more taco places I try and eat out - the picker I am becoming! Overall, this place is a great spot for tacos. I also appreciate the portion sizes! I had extra filling in my tacos which I took home and then used my own tortillas to make more (more for me!). I think the primary reason I have 4 and not 5 stars is because this place was somewhat "basic" to me - nothing super amazing, nothing terrible either - just good plain old tacos! ”
“ Food: Delicious. Service: Awesome. Ambiance: Amazing. Food is extremely delicious. Taco de lengua; taste-fully good. Shrimp sope; mouth quenching delicious. Quesadilla with chorizo chicken; delicious. Birria egg roll; very delicious. ”
“ What an outstanding culinary experience! Was recommended by a friend and let's just say that friend's credibility just got upgraded. Visited with my wife so between the two of us, ordered 6 different items from the menu. 1. Birria Beef taco - very succulent, moist enough that the consommé was not needed. 2. Birria Goat taco - wife reported that it was a solid showing for the goat fans out there. 3. Lengua taco - wife's verdict: it was the weakest of the six, the chunks were a bit too big and didn't absorb the flavors. 4. Carne asada Sope - tasty but overshadowed by the real stars of the show... 5. Tinga Beef tostada - both tostadas were phenomenally crispy and jam packed with flavor and toppings. Next time, will order 6 of these! 6. Tinga Chicken tostada ”
“ Wanted to give this place a shot since I've been trying to find new taco spots around my area. La Tingeria was highly recommended, so why not give it a try. The Food: The tacos were amazing. I got the Tinga Beef, Tinga Chicken, Lengua, and the Al Pastor. The meats were nice and tender, and also very juicy. The cilantro/onions were good toppings to pair with the meats. They were filled up pretty good for the price as well. The Service: Service was good. Staff here were friendly and they bring your food to you at your table. Otherwise, they call your name on the intercom to pick up. But the food came out at a reasonable amount of time. The Atmosphere: This spot is kind of small inside, not many tables to sit at, but they do have outdoor seating available as well. Overall, a nice taco spot that looks like it's setup to be more of a take out restaurant. Parking is somewhat difficult as well, and you may have to park in the neighborhoods if it gets too busy. Overall, a 5/5. Would highly recommend giving this place a try. Tacos are absolutely delicious! ”
“ Really good tacos, in a funky spot in Falls Church. We tried the beef birreia, Al pastor, and chicken tinga tacos, and the elote, rice and beans. I think we tried all of the salsas/hot sauces they offered. Everything was excellent!! We walked in and ordered right away, the cashier was very friendly. There are only a few tables but we were able to grab one after a few minutes. It's a fun, casual place to grab a few tacos, in future I'd probably grab them to go. ”
“ I went to La Tingeria for lunch after seeing it all over TikTok. The food was delicious and servings are a good size. I got a carne asada torta, which was big. I like the restaurant, it's on the smaller size but still has plenty of seating. You order at the counter and the food will come to you at your table. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some Mexican food in the area. ”
“ This was our first visit to La Tingeria in Falls Church. I got the Birria Beef, Tinga Chicken, and Hal Pastor tacos with Elote, and my son got the Carne Asada, Tinga Chicken, and Hal Pastor tacos. The prices were affordable, and the food came out fast. Overall, the tacos were pretty good. Our favorite was the Tinga Chicken, and our least favorite was the Hal Pastor. The elote was great. The table we sat at was really dirty. (I don't think they clean between customers.) I think I would try other taco places before going back but, for the food, it's worth another visit. ”
“ La Tingeria in Falls Church is an awesome spot that truly shines with its taco offerings. Despite its small size and limited seating, the cozy atmosphere only adds to its appeal! The menu is a taco lover's dream, featuring a selection that caters to a range of tastes. From the juicy carne asada to the perfectly spiced al pastor, each taco is crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The variety of salsas and toppings available ensures you can customize your tacos to your liking! The service is friendly and efficient, though the small space means it can get busy--so be prepared for a bit of a wait during peak times. All in all, La Tingeria delivers a memorable taco experience that's well worth a shot! ”
“ One of the best spots in the DMV hands down. I wanted to check out the place for some time because I had never experienced Taco Tuesday for myself. Like it was just lingering in my head until one day I suddenly said to myself, " I should really try something new today ". And thus, here we are with a review. La Tingeria is a Taco Shop located in Falls Church. If there's one thing I will have to mention, the parking situation is like trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle. Why are there so many cars here? How can anyone park here? There's parking on the streets, the sidewalk but it's very limited. I'm not saying there are better options close to you but if you are briefly going in to pick up food, I think you'd be okay with parking relatively close by. I must have hit the lottery when I accidently checked Instagram or so on Tuesday. Saw a post from where their social media representative mentioned 5-9 PM for 2 dollar Tacos. That's amazing! I decided to splurge because why not right? After parking, I ventured inside. I think I must have been the first to walk in once it hit 5 PM, I was on a mission for sure. I immediately went to the board to check out all the Taco Items they had.. Birria, Chorizo, Hal Pastor, Carne Asada, ect... So many good options. I got 2 Birria Goat, 2 Birria Beef, 1 Tinga Chicken, 1 Tinga Beef, 2 Chorizos for my choice of tacos. I also paid for Consomme which is an absolute must if I'm going to dip my tacos in delicious broth. I also had to get a Mexican Coke too. The only downside was there was one that wasn't chilled so it was at room temperature. The Birria Goat/Beef were soft, tender chunks of meat that melted in your mouth with full bliss the minute you took a bite. Dipping it into the Consommé felt like a dream came true. I never experienced a wide array of euphoria after eating good tacos. The Tinga Chicken/Beef Tacos were okay but the meat kept falling out of the Taco and into the Consommé. It was good but I think I would opt for something else. The Chorizo tacos had a slight kick to them but not overpowering. I think with the Consommé they brought more of that saltiness out. For around 24 dollars, this is a match made in heaven. I think truly this is a place I will check out again for sure. ”
